DHB activates COVID-19 emergency response structure as virus closes in on Hawke’s Bay

Two cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Tararua District. Health authorities said both cases reported feeling unwell last Friday, and sought prompt testing. Both are from the same household and are now self-isolating at home. A man will face drink driving related charges following a single vehicle accident on Tuesday night. Senior Constable Andy Walker said emergency services were called around midnight after a vehicle crashed through a fence on a property on State Highway 2 just north of the Waipukurau bridge. The CHB Parents Centre and its new Parenting and Pregnancy Hub have received a $22,000 donation from the Taniwha Daffodil Charitable Trust.
