Central Hawke’s Bay District Council in a partnership with Sport Hawke’s Bay has launched the Waka Tākaro Central Hawke's Bay’s Play Trailer.

The trailer is a free community resource to educate and promote play for children, and was made possible through funding from Sport New Zealand and Sport Hawke’s Bay.

The mobile trailer will be stocked with a range of play and sports gear.

Deputy Mayor Kelly Annand says Waka Tākaro is a fantastic resource available for everyone of all ages – with the trailer visiting schools, carnivals, shows, markets and remote areas through the summer.

Bookings for the trailer can be made by contacting the District Council.
