Possum Control - 1 July 2021 - 30 May 2022

Rural Pest Services Ltd is going to carry out possum control starting from 1 July 2021 through to 30 May 2022 on the following Rivers from the boundary fence or stop banks to near the river edges.


All toxic material will be dyed green/blue and warning signs will be displayed at all access points into the operational area when work is in progress and will remain in place until toxin caution periods have expired.

St John Health Shuttle Service

A St John Health Shuttle service (formerly run by NZ Red Cross) is available in many local communities to provide transport to medical and health related appointments.

Shuttles are available in the following areas: Waipukurau, Porangahau, Hastings, Waimarama, Wairoa, Tuai and Mahia
All shuttle services operate Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. (The service is run by volunteers and there is no fee, however donations are accepted to help cover costs).

Waipawa M&D - Musical Revue

Waipawa M&D is proud to present:  West End to Waipawa - Musical Revue: Musical Theatre Through the Ages.
Songs from your favourite musicals from the 1920s through to today, performed by talented local artists.

Cuppa & Chat will now be running in the Masonic Hall (in the room opposite the Housie) and Morning Tea and is for any of those that are wanting to get together socially, but Housie isn't for them. This will be held from 9.30am—11am on the second and last Friday of the month and the cost is $3.

CHB Cycling Club

Cycling CHB Club Nights Tuesday starting 28th of September.

Two weeks until we're into our Tuesday night race nights!  First ride is on the 28th of September.
