Dannevirke Public Water Meeting
Tuesday 28th November | 6.30pm - 8.30pm
The Hub, Dannevirke
The public water meeting originally planned for 15 November will now be on 28 November, 6.30pm-8.30pm at the Hub in Dannevirke. Tararua District Council teams will be receiving the latest geotechnical sample data in the next few weeks and are looking forward to sharing this with the community. Having this information will enable a more informed discussion on November 28th. The project team, and elected members will be available to talk through recent decisions made about next steps for the impounded supply. For those that cannot attend, this meeting it will be recorded and made available on the Council website. There will also be a Facebook live Question and Answer session on Wednesday, 29th November between 6.30 and 7.30.

These groups are a safe space for family and whānau to share their experiences, their challenges, their triumphs, and to learn from each other in an open and 100% judgement-free environment. The Takapau Town Hall will be dressed up in lights and everything Christmas. SANTA, Mrs Claus, Lady Snow and Ella the Elf, will be there every night too. Mrs Claus will have a wee surprise for Girls and Boys 6 and under to take home. All Donations received will be going to the Takapau Health Centre New Build Fund.

Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund
Applications Close Friday 8th December at 4.30pm
Applications are open to rural sports clubs and rural school teams with young people (5 -19 years) who require assistance with transport expenses to local sporting competitions.
The following criteria will be applied: A school club team is defined as participating in regular local sport competition out of school time, and/or a sports club team participating in organised, regular sport competition through club membership outside of school time. Waipukurau Arts & Crafts
The Waipukurau Arts & Crafts in Coughlan Rd have three exciting initiatives underway. On Monday mornings the painting group will meet with local painter Margaret-Mary Farr. CHB Community Patrols - Volunteers Wanted
Community Patrols Waipukurau are looking for volunteers to help with Friday and Saturday night community patrols to help spread the coverage of Waipukurau & Waipawa patrols.
Patrols usually take 2-2.5 hours, and volunteers patrol as a team of two.
Volunteers can expect to be patrolling schools and businesses, checking for insecure premises, damage and looking out for any suspicious behaviour which is reported directly to local police.
