Think Water Hawkes Bay is a specialist water solutions business focused on all facets of water management. They specialise in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of irrigation, water storage, septic tanks as well as a wide range of plumbing solutions. As part of the Think Water network, the group is committed to providing solutions towards the rapidly changing landscape of water throughout Australasia.

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily management of their respective Think Water store, including stock, sales, and resource management.

This role is responsible for managing transactions, maintaining a clean and well-stocked sales floor, and handling customer complaints or concerns. The objective of this role is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience and drive sales for the store.


Tasks and responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficient processes and exceptional customer experiences

  • Manage inventory, stock levels, and store merchandising to maximise sales

  • Monitor financial performance and set store targets to drive growth

  • Supervise, mentor, and train retail staff

  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally

  • Perform quarterly stock takes ensuring that stock levels are accurate at all times

  • Complete all paperwork relating to stock, including ordering stock

  • Champion Health & Safety

About you

·         Proven experience in water solutions business or similar leadership roles

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to analyse sales data and make strategic decisions

New World Waipukurau are looking for the right person to join their Inwards Goods team to provide support in effective receipting of goods to ensure inventory levels are maintained accurately and stock is available for the store in a timely and efficient manner.

The Inwards Goods Department has responsibility for receiving goods in a fast, efficient and organised manner. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential.

The successful applicant will be reliable, of a cheerful disposition, able to communicate well with others, motivated to do a great job and work as part of a team. They will be comfortable with computers and technology, organised and methodical.

The successful applicant will be available to work one weekend day and starts may be early or late as required. A forklift license is an advantage but full training will be provided.
