A climate resilience project in Central Hawke's Bay is on track, thanks to the Government's shovel-ready COVID-19 Response and Recovery Funding. Cancer Patient Treatment

Cancer patients heading to Palmerston North for treatment can now expect faster treatment times and improved access to services. Earlier this week, the Regional Cancer Treatment Service officially opened its second new liner accelerator at Palmerston North Hospital. A 15 year old has been referred to the Police youth Aid following the theft of a wheel from a mountain bike. The wheel was taken from a bike that was attached to the back of a vehicle in Waipukurau's Northumberland Street last week. Constable Andy Walker said the incident happened in broad daylight. Two senior Dannevirke firefighters were awarded their Gold Stars recently to mark their 25 years of service. Fatal Crash

Sad new in Central Hawke's Bay this morning as Police confirm that one person has died following a serious crash in Central Hawkes Bay this morning. Emergency services were alerted at about 5:40am to the crash between a car and a motorcyclist on SH2 near the intersection with Maharakeke Road. Sadly, the motorcyclist passed away in hospital.
