It is the final day of the 2022 Wakely Shield tournament.
Yesterday’s semi-finals saw Centralines CHB play Saracens, with Saracens winning the game 35-20.
Central Manager, Tim Ewen, said Saracen’s scored three tries in the first half of the game to lead 15-3 at half-time.
Central’s first half points came from a penalty to Max Annand.
In the second half though, CHB came back strong, scoring 17 points.
Today’s final game for CHB is against the Barbarians, with kick-off at 9.30 this morning.

Local powerlines company, Centralines, will celebrate its 100th year of electricity distribution with a ‘Family Fun Day’ at its new depot tomorrow.
The public are invited to the event to celebrate the milestone.
The day will run from 10am to 1pm, and includes entertainment, food and some fun games.
Centralines was originally the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board, which nowadays supplies electricity to about 9000 customers.

The Tararua District Council and the Tararua Alliance will hold a public information session next week about work being done on Route 52.
The community information session will outline the progress and challenges on the Weber to Wimbledon Route 52 project.
Members of the public are invited to the Weber Hall for the information session next Tuesday from 6pm.

A Give-A-Little page setup following a shed explosion at Akitio earlier this month has raised nearly $10,000.
The page was setup following the October 4 incident, which initially saw two people flown to Wellington Hospital with serious burns.
Donations as at this morning were $9,813.
