There are 750 active cases of COVID-19 in Hawke’s Bay at present.

Yesterday 118 new cases were reported in the region, including seven in Central Hawke’s Bay.

CHB currently has 50 active cases.

There are 38 people in Hawke’s Bay Hospital with COVID.

Tararua District had 67 active cases at the start of this week.

Te Aute College has received a $5 million boost from the Government.

Minister of Maori Development, Willie Jackson, recently announced an allocation of $14.9 million from the Maori Boarding Schools Initiative, which allows for property maintenance and upgrades to operations.

St Josephs Maori Girls College and Hukarere Girls College have also been awarded money from the fund.

Dannevirke Police are investigating after a car stolen from a local address was found burnt out.

Police say the car, which was found burnt out last Tuesday on Otanga Road, had earlier been stolen from an address in Maclaurin Street.

The Magpies have another game in the Bunnings Warehouse NPC tonight.

This time the Magpies are on the road and will play Otago at Forsyth Barr Stadium at 7.05pm.

It is the first of two away games for Hawke’s Bay this week, with the second game against Manawatu on Sunday in Palmerston North.
