National pizza chain, Dominos Pizza, has confirmed it will open a store in Central Hawkes Bay.

A company spokesperson confirmed to our newsroom that they are opening a store in Waipukurau.

An exact opening date hasn’t been finalised.

Central FM understands the Dominos store will be in the building recently vacated by the BNZ Bank.

Otane Thirsty Whale has made it into the final of the Hawke’s Bay Super 8 Netball competition.

Otane had a 61-36 win over HHSOG Huias in Friday night’s semis.

Central Sports Vet Services Hawke’s Bay went down to All In : Elusive in the other semi, 53-46.

The finals will be played this coming Friday night at Pettigrew Green Arena.

The Magpies finished with a draw against Waikato in their first game of the Bunnings Warehouse NPC.

Hawke’s Bay travelled to FMG Stadium for the opening round, with the game fairly close at halftime, with Waikato going in to the break ahead 24-20.

Tom Parsons scored the equalising try in the 70th minute, with the game finishing at 32-all.

This week, the Magpies play Counties Manukau at McLean Park.

That game is on Friday night at 7.05.
