Two people were flown to hospital following a crash near Takapau yesterday.
The crash – between a car and a ute – happened late yesterday morning on State Highway 2, resulting in the highway being closed for nearly an hour.
Senior Constable John Flack said one of the vehicles pulled out of a driveway between Speedy Road and Fraser Road into the path of a northbound vehicle.
He said a third person was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Mr Flack said further investigations into the crash are underway.
