Central Hawke’s Bay Police are asking for information after a number of road works machines were set fire to.
Police and Fire & Emergency were called around 3.30am Saturday to the machines at Wanstead.
Senior Constable Andy Walker said the machines were parked up near Lake Road, and Police would like to hear from anyone with information.

Central Hawke’s Bay now has two confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Another case was confirmed by the HBDHB yesterday.
The DHB also confirmed a further 15 cases in the region yesterday.
Medical Officer of Health Dr Rachel Eyre urged households and businesses to make-a-plan for Omicron.
Dr Eyre said most people with COVID-19, particularly those who were fully vaccinated, would be likely to experience mild to moderate illness and would be fine to recover at home.
She said for those who need a bit more help support would be available.

Six 60 has pushed the date for its upcoming concert in Napier out to later this year.
The band was due to play at McLean Park on April 2nd, however a new date of November 5th was announced yesterday.
All tickets for the April show are valid for November.
