The Dannevirke A & P Show scheduled for next weekend has been cancelled.

The Show Management Committee said due to the recent announcement of the red-light system for COVID-19, along with the water restrictions in place for the Dannevirke District, they have made the tough decision to cancel the 2022 Show.

A & P Society President, Pamela Henricksen, said they are utterly disappointed to be in this position as the show is a highlight for the community and would have brought a sense of normality to the

district amidst this pandemic.

She said following the red light announcement, Mahon’s Amusements Entertainment got in touch to say it was not viable for them to come to the show.

Mrs Henricksen said the limit of 100 people per defined space for the equestrian and cattle sections were too difficult to manage with new rulings continuously being created.

She said all competitors will be given a full refund on their entry fees over the next week.
