A change to the venue for the the Waipawa Butchery Central Hawke’s Bay Premier Cricket teams T20 game against Cornwall tonight.

The venue was originally pencilled in as the Forest Gate Domain at OngaOnga, however has been shifted to Cornwall Park due to this weeks weather.  The game will start at 5pm.

This week is Round 4 for the Murray McKearney Memorial Cup, with Central on one win and one loss so far.

Central captain Dom Thompson will be a guest on the Centralines Sports Show tomorrow morning thanks to Angus Schaw, Carrfields Livestock Agent.

Tararua’s Mayor is happy with her districts 93% first rate for COVID-19 vaccinations, and 83% rate for second shots.

Tracey Collis said positive COVID cases in the district have helped boost the rate, along with the COVID Vaccine Passes coming in have made some people change their minds.

On the COVID Vaccine Pass, Mrs Collis said they had created some division in the community as well.

Central Hawke’s Bay Mayor Alex Walker will join Hastings Mayor Sandra Hazelhurst on a trip to Wellington today to give a presentation on Three Waters reform.

Hawke’s Bay’s Councils have been working on a region-wide solution to Three Waters, and the two Mayors will today outline that work to the Working Group to look at governance, ownership and accountability.

Mayor Alex Walker said the Councils don’t like what’s on the table and have been invited to present to the working group.
