Two COVID-19 drive through vaccination clinics will be held in Central Hawke’s Bay this week.

The clinics will be open on Friday and Saturday at the CHB Rugby and Sport Club in Waipukurau.

Anyone over the age of 12 can get their vaccinations done at the drive-through clinics.

The HBDHB says booked appointments will be prioritised, however some walk-ins or drive-though vaccinations may be available.

The drive-in clinics will run between 9.30am and 4pm both days, with bookings able to be made by visiting bookmyvaccine.nz.

Wairarapa MP Kieran McAnulty is encouraging local businesses that are struggling from the COVID-19 lockdown to apply for the Government’s COVID-19 Wage Subsidy and the COVID-19 Resurgence Support payment.

Applications for a further round of the two week Wage Subsidy opened last Friday, and Mr McAnulty says the criteria remains the same from the first two week subsidy.

Businesses must have had or expect a drop of at least 40% in revenue.

For the Resurgence Support payment, a 30% drop in revenue must have been experienced due to the changes in alert levels.

Kieran McAnulty says he has been contacted by many businesses who have applied, and have been successful, with money often paid out within a couple of days.

For any that have had issues, or are unsure about criteria, Mr McAnulty is encouraging them to call his office.
