Local residents are lining up for COVID-19 vaccinations.
Choices and the Hawke’s Bay District Health Board held a clinic in Porangahau on Saturday, with hundreds turning up to receive their vaccine.
The DHB’s Super Clinic in Waipawa was also full yesterday.
In Dannevirke, in drive-in vaccination clinic was run on Saturday in a collaboration between the Tararua Health Group, Ngāti Kahungunu, Māori Wardens and the Mid Central DHB.
More than 650 doses of the COVID vaccine were completed.

An electrical fault is thought to have started a fire in a shed in Waipukurau late last week.
Firefighters were called about 6.45am Friday to the fire on Porangahau Road.
The Waipukurau Volunteer and Tamatea Rural Brigades were responded.

Those wanting to nominate a sportsperson for the CHB Mail Central Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards now only have two weeks to do so.
Nominations must be received by next Friday, the 10th of September.
