Waipawa’s annual Spring Festival and Duck Day held last weekend was a huge success.

Organiser Pip Burne said they were really please with how the day went, with an amazing turn out of people, and over 70 stalls.

Hundreds of tickets were sold for the annual duck race, and organisers had a great response to the Corporate Duck Race.

Pip Burne said unfortunately they weren’t able to get a channel dug this year for the Corporate race, so a “duck vote” was held.

Brittons House Movers took the vote, with other winners being Waipawa School and Launch Early Childhood.

Pip has also put out a plea to those who may have picked up smaller ducks from the main race to please return them, as they think a few may have waddled home with some youngsters.
