The Royal New Zealand Air Force Aerobatic Team will conduct flypasts over the East Coast of the North Island today and tomorrow.
Known as “The RNZAF Black Falcons”, the squad will deliver full aerobatic displays in Gisborne and Napier – two of the areas hardest hit by Cyclone Gabrielle.
For locals wanting to see the Black Falcons, they will fly over Central Hawke’s Bay and Tararua District from just after 1pm tomorrow.

- Waipukurau – 1.04pm
- Takapau – 1.07pm
- Norsewood – 1.09pm
- Dannevirke – 1.12pm
- Woodville – 1.15pm

Approximately $30 million of Civil Defence payments have been made by the Ministry of Social Development to people in Hawke’s Bay and Tairawhiti over the past two months.
MSD’s East Coast Regional Commissioner, Karen Bartlett, says the payments have been made to support more than 43,000 people.
Civil Defence payments, along with the Cyclone Flood 0800 line, will end at 1pm tomorrow.
From then MSD says it will move to support people through its regular payments and supports as the cyclone response transitions into the recovery phase.
Ms Bartlett says with the move to recovery, there continues to be other ways they can help people.

Hawke’s Bay Club Rugby Draw :
The Colliers Central Prems are away playing MAC in their round 5 game.
Aotea will play Taradale at Rugby Park Dannevirke from 3pm.
In the Town/Country Division, Otane play Porangahau at Otane, with WCUMR playing Central at Coronation Park.
Those games kick off at 2.45pm.
The Waipawa Butchery sponsored Central Women’s team are in action tomorrow, playing Napier Tech at Whitmore Park
In the Colts grade, Onga Tiko will play Clive at Tikokino from 2pm.
Meanwhile the Dannevirke Colts, who play in the Manawatu competition, will have a pre-season game against Feilding Yellow at Rugby Park, kick-off at 1pm.

Waipawa and Porangahau residents will get the chance to have their say on the Central Hawke’s Bay District Councils’ Cyclone Gabrielle recovery plan this weekend.
The Council will hold its Community Conversations at the CHB Municipal Theatre from 11am to 12.30pm Saturday, and from the same times on Sunday at the Porangahau Rugby Club.
