Blogs
Blog Blog Bloody Blog!!!
When you aren't used to blogging it is easy just simply not to do it.
I figure a year is far too long since my last blog so will updaye it a bit more often. Spring is nearly here, The Festival CHB 2009 is nearly here and before we know it, Christmas will be here too.
Interestingly, most people are feeling better about the state of the nation now that Spring is on the way. Talking to a farmer today is thinks there could be another drought. Let's hope not - that is the last thing we need right now.
Spring Is In The Air
Is it just me? or does it lfeel like the days are getting longer and the weather slightly better. Lots to look forward to, including The Festival CHB. This year they have added "The Festival Club" and bring us "The Ladykillers", Jackie Clarke, Taisha and Tina Cross. One not to be missed. Tickets are $45 and available from The CHB Visitor Information Centre and Electra Gallery. Support local events, get yourself a ticket.
Central Hawke's Bay Colleg First 15
Great to see the College First 15 having great success this year. Congrats for your gutsy win over Hastings. Bring on Napier this weekend.
Looks like the weather will be great for the long weekend, make the most of it get out and do something with the family.
ANZACS
Great to see so many Central Hawke's Bay people at the ANZAC services over the weekend. There is plenty happening in the near future as Central FM launches it's new Winter promotion giving a winner and a friend the chance to head across the Tasman to see Stage Musical "Billy Elliott", we will tell you more soon.
Into the second week of school holidays and the kids are starting to go a little stir crazy? Send them along to the holiday programme at the Westpac Trust Pool, great value and loads of fun for the kids.
Rain
Nice to see some rain around the region, over the past few days, some areas benefitting more than most.
We say congratulations to Ellen Lee of Holiday Shoppe in Waipukurau, who once again took out the award for top agent in the Country for Holiday Shoppe. You are indeed a legend. Great to see a local success story like yours.
Up & Running
Well Hey! Here we are - the Central FM website is finally up and running. Thanks for taking time out to see what we are up to. Through this site you can contact us, leave community Information for Central Hawke's Bay and the Tararua.
We thank everyone for their kind feedback on our 60"s & 70's weekend plus great feedback on the 80's weekend as well. Our next weekend music feature will be an ANZAC special playing just the best music from Australia and New Zealand.
