Steve has been doing The Cockies Hour for 10 years.  He has written a weekly column for 12 years, first in the NZ Farmer, then Straight Furrow and nowadays in NZ Farmers Weekly.

He has just completed a six year term on the Landcorp Board and is currently on the board of Farmlands.  He farms 350 hectares in Hatuma, 19kms from Waipukurau.  The operation includes a high performance breeding ewe flock including a Coopworth stud and finishes all lambs.

The other 35% of stock units are bull beef.  The farm now has 15% in forestry as well as a wide range of tree crops and ornamentals.

He and his wife Jane have three active teenage sons.
